Will a cold plunge or infrared sauna fit in my condo?
Most Malaysian condos can take a home cold plunge or a 1-person infrared sauna. Before you order, check these four things.
1. Floor space
Our 1-Person Infrared Sauna needs an 80 × 90 cm footprint. A cold plunge needs room for the tub or barrel, the chiller beside it, and space to step in and out safely. Our ARKTOS upright plunge is designed for smaller spaces because it stands vertically.
2. Power socket
Our chillers and infrared saunas run on 220–240V household power. The 1-person sauna is rated around 6A and the 2-person sauna around 8A, so each unit should have its own suitable socket rather than sharing an extension cord with other appliances.
3. Lift and delivery route
Measure the lift door, corridor and your unit door. Saunas arrive as flat panels and are assembled on site, but they still need a clear route.
4. Floor loading and building rules
Water is heavy: every litre weighs about 1 kg, so a filled tub puts real weight on one spot. Check with your management office about any rules for balconies, renovations and delivery times.
Checklist
- Floor space for the unit, plus room to move around it
- A suitable 220–240V socket nearby
- Lift, corridor and door sizes measured
- Management office rules checked
- For a cold plunge: a tap or hose to fill it
